FIND THE SECRET TO A CONFLICT-FREE MARRIAGE AND REJECT THE LIE OF
IRRECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES - Written by Laura L. Meyer

Laura Meyer

Counselor | Coach | Conference Speaker

Hi there! I'm Laura and I am so very glad you stopped by. As you can see just above me, there is a FREE GIFT to welcome you. But that's not the only reason I am giving it. The only reason I can even be here is because I also received a FREE GIFT when I accepted God's FREE GIFT [Romans 6:23] of eternal life and love. It was His love that healed the pain that love caused—of broken marriage, failed relationships and a life of soul wounds.

Its the BEST GIFT I can share with you today, as a starting point for your healing, and the healing of generations to come.

When I walked away from a 17-year career with multinational oil giant Shell,  to become a Licensed Professional Counselor, one of my colleagues looked at me with a puzzling frown, "You must really like people?"  I simply responded, "I do, don't you?" Today, as a Certified Trauma Specialist, I've spent hundreds of hours helping children, teens, individuals and couples to navigate the challenges we all encounter in this life. Whether counseling is a new experience for you or something you've done before, it is common to have questions about life.

Don't allow the pain to change keep you drowning in the pain to stay the same.

Want to know the difference between Counseling and Coaching?

Professional Counselors diagnose and treat past and current mental health and psychosocial issues that affect daily functioning in all areas of your life. Coaches come alongside you to develop goals for a specific area of focus in your life, and to train you in skills and strategies to accomplish those goals. Counselors and coaches have in common empathy, encouragement and edification.

COACHING

What did Michael Jordan, Princess Diana, Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey all have in common? They all used coaches. Even at the peak of their careers great leaders continue to use coaches.

That's why you need a Marriage Coach!

Ask yourself, "How many years did it take you get to where you are in your career? How many years of study for your qualifications? How many books read? How many teachers and professors assisted you along the way? How much of that did I do for my marriage?" Not much? None at all?

Could this be the reason things aren't working out?

My Values Statement

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Marriage Coach, I want you to know that I hear you, I see you, I understand, and I want to help.  Here are some more things you should know about me:

REPUTABLE – My company VIRTUE MATTERS, LLC was established in 2011, the same year I walked away from a 17-year career as a corporate manager and finance professional for a multinational oil company. I embarked on a journey to be schooled in bible teaching ministry and counseling by one of the most reputable seminaries in the world, Dallas Theological Seminary.

EXPERIENCED – Along with my years of corporate experience top and middle management positions, where I managed hundreds of millions of dollars in precious cargoes, inventory, and complicated logistics,  I have amassed thousands of client hours helping children from as young as five years old, struggling teens, couples in recovery from the trauma of marital infidelity, and many individuals with various mental health and psychosocial issues. I draw from all these experiences to ensure you get the positive outcomes you are looking for.

CONFIDENTIALITY – The hallmark and ethical mandate of a successful therapeutic and coaching relationship is the promise of privacy and sensitivity of your shared information. I promise you no less in compliance with the charter of this profession.

RESOURCES - I've done a lot of the heavy lifting for you; amassing tons of hours researching some of the best in the field. I'll be happy to share those resources with you.

CUSTOMIZABLE - ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL! My curriculum will be customized to specifically address your individual and family needs.

INTEGRITY – Your life, your family, your time and your investment are more important to me that the millions of dollars I managed in corporate. I am first and foremost accountable to God and His standard of TRUTH. As His very precious child  I HANDLE YOU WITH CARE. It is He that I fear.

The first time I heard Laura speak several years ago, I was fascinated. Not only was her story engaging but her calming effect on the audience indicated a special anointing on her life. But it was through the reading and co-facilitating her book “Rahab’s Walls” at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship’s [email protected] recovery program, that I really got to know and personally experience her passion and the calling placed on her life to serve in the Kingdom. Since then, she has become my go-to friend, challenging me to truth and motivating me to worship God in Spirit and truth.  Her wisdom and knowledge of the Word keeps me listening. Yet, I can count on her for a barrel of laughs, tons of fun and authentic friendship.

Thanks Laura, for taking the time to be that friend who has a word of love, peace and joy like no other.

Laura is gifted with the natural ability to see a person’s raw potential and to help them focus on the pursuit of their goals and dreams. In my case, whether sitting casually over coffee and on a check in telephone call, she would help me to brainstorm various options and ideas as I build my international teaching ministry. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Laura over eight years ago when she and I enrolled in our respective professional programs at Dallas Theological Seminary. Laura’s professionalism as a counselor, conference speaker and teacher are informed by her life experiences and a successful corporate career in the oil and gas industry.  But what impresses me most is her knowledge of the word of God and her ability to apply biblical principles to everyday life. Her honest, thoughtful and straightforward responses to issues you bring to her has made her a trusted and reliable resource, not only to me, but I am sure, to many others.

Normally when I buy a book to read, I am careful not to mark in it because I want to resell them on EBay. But as I began to read 30 Days in August from the very first chapter, I saw this was a book I would not be “just reading because a friend wrote it,” but I would be reading it for me. After I finished, I went back and copied all the quotes and reviewed them again and again since then. It really helps when you read someone else’s journey and you are able to relate. Laura, you have inspired me and I know you will inspire others as well.
